摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an electrode mixture paste on the basis of a property evaluation which suitably conforms at actual manufacturing time, and to provide a secondary battery manufacturing method using the electrode mixture paste. <P>SOLUTION: In a secondary battery manufacturing method, an electrode mixture paste is manufactured by kneading a mixture of the powder and solvent components of a secondary battery electrode mixture layer, and a secondary battery is manufactured using an electrode plate including an electrode mixture layer which is formed on the basis of the electrode mixture paste. First, preliminary mixing and kneading is carried out. In preliminary mixing and kneading, same powder and solvent components as used when the electrode mixture paste is created are used, and the solvent is poured into the powder while measuring a liquid absorption amount and the mixture is kneaded while measuring a kneading torque. Then, the ratio of a powder amount at start of preliminary mixing and kneading to a solvent amount when the kneading torque indicates a peak value T2 is determined to be a compounding ratio for actual mixing and kneading.
