<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device and a cutting method capable of quickly cutting off an alloy without interrupting the operation of a casting device in continuous casting of the alloy, such as a high-Ni-alloy. <P>SOLUTION: In the device for cutting off the alloy by using a torch, the torch comprises a nozzle for supplying propane gas and oxygen gas, two nozzles which are arranged in parallel in the direction of cutting the alloy for supplying Fe powder and/or Al powder as a combustion auxiliary, a powder tank for storing the powder, and a dispenser which is constituted of an ejector for ejecting the powder and is arranged vertically downward with respect to the powder tank. The content of Al powder is 20 to 50 mass% of the total powder of the combustion auxiliary. The cutting device is so constituted that the torch supplies propane gas and oxygen gas and supplies the combustion auxiliary to cut off the alloy and supplies Fe powder and Al powder at an amount of more than 500g/min from the front side nozzle in a travelling direction for cutting in the two nozzles for supplying the Fe powder and Al powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
