<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head unit capable of downsizing a connection substrate and capable of easily joining the connection substrate and a wiring member, and to provide a liquid ejection apparatus equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection head unit is provided with: a head body 14 which has a nozzle face 30 and ejects a liquid from nozzles 29 by driving of a pressure generator 20; a wiring member 21 whose one side end is electrically connected to the head body 14 and which supplies a driving signal to the head body 14 to make the pressure generator 20 drive; and a connection substrate 16 which is disposed opposite the nozzle face 30 with respect to the head body 14, and to which the other side end of the wiring member 21 is electrically connected. The connection substrate 16 has a joint terminal 56 which is formed on the face of the side of the head body 14 and is joined to the wiring terminal 36 of the wiring member 21, and a surface terminal 57 which is formed corresponding to the joint terminal 56 on the surface opposite the face on which the joint terminal 56 is formed.
