<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide yellow toner that has excellent charging characteristics, tinctorial power, transparency, light resistance, storage stability, and low-temperature fixability. <P>SOLUTION: The yellow toner contains toner particles manufactured through a granulation step for adding a polymerizable monomer composition containing a polymerizable monomer, colorant, a polar resin, and a mold release agent to an aqueous medium, and granulating the polymerizable monomer composition in the aqueous medium to form particles of the polymerizable monomer composition; and a polymerization step for polymerizing the polymerizable monomer contained in the particles of the polymerizable monomer composition.
