This drive circuit for a switching element (M1) is provided with: main current wiring (6) which is provided with a flat surface and carries the main current of the switching element (M1); and a substrate which has a flat surface which is mounted on the flat surface of the main current wiring (6), said substrate having a coil (L) disposed in the interior thereof. The coil (L) is disposed so as to be linked with magnetic flux generated in accordance with the main current of the switching element (M1), and is electrically connected so as to receive pulse signals of a signal source (S) and transmit the same to a control terminal (M1d) of the switching element (M1).
