METHOD FOR PREVENTING COLLAPSE OF VOLTAGE IN A POWER SYSTEM

Utilization: in an emergency automation in a power system for preventing cascade faults associated with collapse-like voltage reduction. The technical result is aimed at eliminating deficit of reactive power in a power-generating district, preventing collapse-like voltage reduction thus providing stability of the power system operation bringing to minimum de-energizing district load. The method is characterized in measuring voltage, active and reactive power at the power plant bus bars, monitoring the presence of emergency signals from a generator standard automation (overload limit for rotor current) and in case of their presence from all generators connected to the power plant bus bars, power cut of the effected district with the exact level of load reduction calculated by the formulawhere A, B, C are design factors determined on the basis of measuring the active, reactive power values and voltage at the plant bus bars.
