<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device for adequately performing a driving support. <P>SOLUTION: A driving support device 1 includes a support device 4 that can output driving support information for supporting driving of a vehicle 2 where the driving support device 1 is mounted, and a control device 5 that controls the support device 4 according to the detected other vehicle and/or passersby. The control device 5 changes a detection area of the other vehicle and/or passersby on the basis of traveling position of the vehicle 2.
