<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time for detecting an initial position and prevent generation of dazzling light. <P>SOLUTION: An actuator includes a connecting unit 34 provided with an output shaft 41 connected to a lamp unit 10 and allowing the output shaft, at least, to move back and forth and to rotate horizontally. The output shaft is moved back and forth, a lamp housing 2 is rotated, and leveling operation, i.e., adjusting operation of a light radiation direction, is performed. The output shaft is rotated horizontally, the lamp housing is rotated, and swivel operation, i.e., adjusting operation of the light radiation direction, is performed. The actuator further includes: a first magnetism detecting part 32 detecting a movement position of the connecting unit in the back/forth direction by detecting a first boundary 52b of a magnetic pole; and a second magnetism detecting part 33 detecting a horizontal rotation position of the connecting unit by detecting a second boundary 53b of the magnetic pole.
