<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the permeability of an electrolyte in a secondary battery provided with a porous insulation layer between a separator and an electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode body composed of a cathode sheet and an anode sheet 20 which are placed one on top of another via a separator sheet 40; and an electrolyte. On the opposing faces of an electrode sheet 20 on at least one side of the cathode and the anode sheets and the separator sheet are formed porous insulation layers 30A and 30B intermittently along a prescribed direction, each including an inorganic filler and a binder. The porous insulation layers 30A and 30B formed on the opposing faces of both sheets are disposed in such a way that, when both sheets 20 and 40 are laid one on top of another, a portion 32A where the porous insulation layer 30A of the sheet 20 on one side is not formed and an end 34A of the porous insulation layer 30A adjoining the portion 32A are positioned to mutually face the porous insulation layer 30B of the sheet 40 on the other side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
