<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery module of which the stable and excellent collective packaging becomes possible by simple structure, and a method for packaging the solar battery module. <P>SOLUTION: A solar battery module 1 includes: a cell region 10 in which a solar battery cell 11 is arranged; and an outer peripheral region 20 arranged to the outer periphery of the cell region 10. The outer peripheral region 20 includes an engagement part 21 into which a coupling member CTm which is applied to coupling in the superposition direction DS to be mutually overlapped with other solar battery module 1 is engaged. The engagement part 21 is constituted so that the coupling member CTm is passed through the superposition direction DS.
