Abstract Mounting slide insert for use in a guide shoe (12) at a lift cage (14) of a lift installation, wherein the mounting slide insert has a slide zone and fastening regions so as to be able to insert the mounting slide insert into the guide shoe (12) and fasten it there. The mounting slide insert is a mounting slide insert (13) for temporary use, which has two mounting slide zones, which extend substantially parallel to one another and which consist of metal or comprise metal so that during movement of the lift cage (14) along a guide rail (11) of the lift installation a cleaning action at the guide rail (11) results.
