The module (10) has battery cells (11) i.e. lithium-ion-cells, comprising a degassing opening, and a gas receiving area (17) attached to the cells and provided for permanent receiving of gas escaped from the cells. The receiving area has a relief valve, and loaded with vacuum. A pressure-controlled valve (16) is arranged between the receiving area and the opening. The cells are arranged in a housing (12), where the housing is connected with the receiving area over a wire (15). An absorption medium is arranged in the receiving area.
