Method for broadcasting push video-on-demand programmes and decoder for same

The method involves transmitting a broadcasting stream of Push type video-on-demand program units from a remote server (2) over a broadcasting network (3) to multiple decoders (4), where the stream includes two program units with respective unit identifiers and audio/video contents, and a third program unit with a list of the identifiers. The audio/video contents are successively displayed on a TV screen depending on data present in a metadata field of the third program unit when the decoder receives a command for playing the third program unit. An independent claim is also included for a decoder for receiving Push type video-on-demand programs.
