<p>An electrical socket comprises a body. A sleeve having a longitudinal axis is mounted in the body for receiving an electrical plug. At least one electrical contact is located in the sleeve for completing an electrical connection with a corresponding electrical contact of the plug when inserted in the sleeve. The sleeve is mounted to pivot about a point on the longitudinal axis thereof for movement relative to the body in response to a force applied to the sleeve in a direction lateral to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve.</p> |
