The temperature controlling apparatus (1) has a feeding unit, where plastic preforms are supplied around a tempering mold. The feeding unit has a holding medium for holding the plastic preforms. A moving medium is provided for feeding the plastic preforms into the tempering mold by generating a relative movement between the plastic preform and a portion of a mold part in a longitudinal direction of the plastic preform. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a plant for forming of plastic preforms into plastic containers by using a heating medium; and (2) a method for controlling the temperature of plastic preforms.
