<p>The method comprises producing a casting using a die-casting process, and examining the casting by Erichsen cupping test, where the producing and examining steps are performed online. The casting is provided with a test zone that has dimensions for checking its plastic deformability, where the examination step is performed on the basis of the test zone. The casting or the test zone is deburred on the basis of the Erichsen cupping test before, during or after the examining step. The method further includes deburring step that is performed using a deburring device such as a deburring press. The steps of the method are performed in a single casting cell.
