922,503. Electric hot plates. K. FISCHER. Nov. 10, 1961 [Nov. 11, 1960], No. 40258/61. Classes 39 (3) and 126. A solid hot-plate 1, which may be heated by electric elements 3 imbedded in insulating material on the underside of the hot plate, has a central recess 5 with a container 7 mounted to extend upwardly through a hole 6 in the recess. A temperature sensitive probe 15 in the form of a flat cylindrical chamber containing an expansible fluid connected to the diaphragm chamber of a regulator by a coiled capillary tube 18 is urged upwardly through an opening in the top of the container 7 by a spring 17 engaging a flange 16 on the probe 15. The lower part of the container 7 is closed by a part 9, the two parts 7, 9 being held together by the fixing screws. In a modification, Fig. 3, the probe 15 has a skirt 20 extending over the top of the container to prevent spilt liquid getting into the container. |
