A transportation device in a brush production machine, in particular a brush tufting machine, has a holder (30) for a plurality of brush parts (28) or bristle receptacles which are to be processed in succession. A drive motor (36) in the form of a servomotor moves the holder (30) in increments, wherein the incremental movement is achieved by a step-by-step motion linkage (34).
