The device has a pair of movable arc contacts (5, 6), and a compression chamber whose volume (V1) varies and opens in a blowing chamber under action of a blowing-piston (60). One of the arc contacts is indirectly linked to an operating rod by mechanical transmission units for obtaining a value of ratio of displacement speed of the movable arc contact and the operating rod greater than 1. The blowing chamber is integrated to the movable arc contact and a permanent arc contact (3), and a contact carrier tube (8) provides current to the permanent arc contact while movable arc contact is fixed.
