The invention relates to a tap protector in the shape of an octopus. A free end of the tap 23 is inserted into a tap aperture (11 figure 2) on the back of the device, and a strip 5 is wrapped around the main part 24 of the tap to secure the device in place. Water from the tap will enter an internal chamber of a first part of the device 22 and follow a fluid path 26 through the interior of the first part, and pass through one or more of the tentacles 4 and out of the free end 14 of each tentacle. Water may also be introduced through aperture 18 on the front surface of the device. The water will follow a second path 27 through the interior of a second part 15 and out through the free ends 14 of the tentacles 4. A later embodiment relates to a method of diverting fluid using said device. |
