The device comprises a maintenance aperture (4) that is provided for entrance of a mixture drum (1) and is rotated over a drum drive (2). The maintenance aperture is locked over a lid (5) by a releasable screwed joint. An electronic sensing unit (6) is arranged on a portion of the lid or maintenance aperture for monitoring a close state of the lid and is connected to the mixture drum over a communication link for controlling the drum drive.
