The invention relates to a machine for converting electrical and/or magnetic energy into mechanical energy (motor) or for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy (generator), comprising a stator having or forming at least one magnetic pole pair having a north pole and a south pole and further comprising a rotor (motor) or runner (generator) having or forming at least one magnetic pole pair having a north pole and a south pole. The machine is characterized in that the at least one magnetic pole pair of the stator and/or of the rotor (motor) or runner (generator) is formed from a material which is magnetized during the duration of irradiation with ionizing radiation. |
