The device has a lattice spectrometer (1), an illumination unit (8), and an electronic data processing unit for processing data and for controlling a light source (11) such as LED. A light coupling window and a light uncoupling window are laterally offset by a light barrier (6). The lighting unit is positioned for spectroscopic measurement of anti-oxidative potential at the skin (10) of a user by measurement of cytochrome oxidase in the skin, without being affected by contact pressure and ambient light quantity. An independent claim is also included for a method for creating biofeedback information about the nutritional condition and physical endurance capacity of a user.
