A flexible door has a main door structure 10 and a fixing and hinging arrangement 22 for securing the main door structure to a door frame. The fixing and hinging arrangement is adapted to allow hinged movement of the main door between a closed and an at least partially open position. The main door further comprises at least a resilient support member 12 adapted to allow the door to bend through a bend radius when an opening force is imparted on the door. The support member may be formed from a polycarbonate material. The resilience of the support member may be such that below a threshold opening force the resilient support member, and hence the door, will bend without any movement occurring at the hinge arrangement. Opening forces beyond this will additionally cause movement of the hinge (fig 8). The door may also include a hinge guard 24. |
