A printing data supply equipment (10, 11, 12, 13) causes the printer apparatus (9) to stay at the sleep mode, to start the warm-up process before spooling the printing data of a printing job, generate start-up data for enabling the printer, spool the start-up data as another printing data rather than the printing data, and then transmit the start-up data to the printer apparatus. This makes it possible to execute the spooling of the printing data and the warm-up process of the printer apparatus in parallel, thereby reducing the first print time. Further, the printing data supply equipment is served to add a command for setting a time taken in shifting to the sleep mode to the start-up printing data and the printing data to be transmitted to the printer in order to prevent the wasteful warm-up process. <IMAGE> |
