The rotor (1) has permanent magnets (3) arranged in parallel and fastened at a hollow cylindrical carrier (2). The permanent magnets are fixed by retaining strips (6), which overlap the permanent magnets at an edge-side. The retaining strips are arranged between the permanent magnets and fastened at the carrier by a screw (8). The strips and the magnets engage together in a form-fit manner. The strips are flush-mounted into an outer surface of the magnets. Edge areas (4) of the magnets exhibit a sloping surface (5). The strips are made of non-magnetic material. The retaining strips are aluminum strips, stainless steel strips and plastic strips.
