The breeding aviary has several separate cages (2,4), each having a retainer aperture closed by a movable cage door (6,8). The cage doors are movable through a cage door actuating device between an open position and a closed position. Each cage has two mutually offset cage door operating device provided with partial cage doors (6a,6b). Each partial cage door is operable completely independent of the other portion of partial cage door. The cage door actuating device is provided with the bar wires (10a,10b,12a,12b).
