The mold (1) has individual mold segments involved in shaping of a tire blank (2) into a tire bead, a tire side wall and a tread area, where shaping is taken place over surfaces of the segments bonding with the tire blank. Vulcanization energy is fed to the segments in form of heat by external heating to vulcanize the blank. A part of the surfaces bonding with the blank is provided with a chrome nitride coating that is applied by gaseous phase separation on the segments. The bonding surfaces have low adhesion tendency with respect to an elastomer material. The chrome nitride coating has a cover layer with a glass-like structure.
