REAL-TIME OBJECT RECOGNITION AND TRACKING METHOD USING REPRESENTATIVE FEATURE, AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for recognizing and tracking an object in real-time using representative features and a device thereof are provided to recognize and track the object by performing simple calculations and the generations of simple histograms using features of a corresponding part in an image. CONSTITUTION: A representative feature extracting unit(11) extracts a representative feature of an object. A coefficient determining unit(12) determines the coefficient according to the feature. If there is not an interest boundary, an object recognizing unit(14) recognizes a basic object using a motion vector. If there is an interest boundary, an object tracking unit(15) tracks the object in real-time using the interest boundary.
