PURPOSE: A display device and a content providing method of the display device are provided to search an image frame and an audio included in content, thereby finding a desired image frame by not viewing image frames corresponding to a scene of a specific character. CONSTITUTION: A control unit controls a display of a GUI(Graphic User Interface) in response to sensing of user action. When a search word is inputted, the control unit searches content in a content information database based on the search word(S330,S340). The control unit displays a search result on the display(S350).
