PURPOSE: A loess composition is provided to suppress evaporation from trees, to promote growth of trees, and to prevent cold damage and freezing damage. CONSTITUTION: A loess composition for wood protection and wound healing contains 40-90 parts by weight of loess, 0.01-10 parts by weight of a spreader, 0.01-40 parts by weight of a disinfectant and a repellent, and 2-50 parts by weight of a solvent. The loess is raw loess or oriental medicinal loess. The oriental medicinal loess contains 1-60 parts by weight of oriental medicinal materials. The spreader is selected from the group consisting of polyoxy ethylene alkyl arylether, sodium ligno sulfonate, wheat flour paste, rice paste, and starch. The disinfectant and the repellent are selected from the group consisting of pyroligneous liquor, magma Q, herb oil(lavender, rosemary, lemon balm, lemon grass), a citronella extract, and naphthalene.
