PURPOSE: A mobile robot is provided to facilitate to control the movement of a robot by voice and sound signals. CONSTITUTION: A mobile robot(100) comprises a moving device, an operation performing device, a sound receiver, a sound reception status display unit, and a control unit. The operation performing device absorbs foreign substances. The control unit controls the moving device and operation performing device for performing allocated operations when a text converted from a received voice is identical to a previously stored text or a received sound shows a specific pattern. A sound condition display unit turns a light on when the reception of a sound signal is possible.
