PURPOSE: A hybrid optical touch screen apparatus is provided to sense a physical touch on a screen flat board and optical touch through visible rays using multiple light emitting elements and light receiving elements, thereby detecting a touch input of a user. CONSTITUTION: A screen flat panel(20) has a touch-sensitive domain within edges. A plurality of light emitting elements(31) installed at the edges outputs scanning light which crosses the touch-sensitive domain. A visible ray source(40) outputs visible rays to the touch-sensitive domain from the outside of the screen flat panel. A plurality of light receiving elements receives the scanning light which has crossed the touch-sensitive domain and the visible rays which are reflected within the touch-sensitive domain. A drive circuit(12) drives the plurality of light emitting elements and light receiving elements.
