<p>PURPOSE: A webbing winding device is provided to improve the load balance of a torsion shaft from a spool by offsetting the rotation force of an insertion protrusion. CONSTITUTION: A webbing winding device(10) comprises a spool(14), a lock unit, and a torsion shaft. Main torsion(102) is formed inside the accepting hole of a torsion shaft. The spool side holding part(110) of the main torsion is formed with insertion protrusions. A load receiving part(142) is formed in a webbing insertion container and a hole(32) side in the spool side holding part. Each slope of an insertion protrusion offsets the rotation direction component of a rotation force from each slope of rotation restrict holes into the rotation direction component of a rotation force of the load receiving part from a load applying part(146).
