PURPOSE: A handover method between the heterogeneous networks and a device thereof are provided to prevent data loss in a handover process between the heterogeneous networks. CONSTITUTION: A tunneling unit(524) transmits a first indirect data forwarding tunnel generation request to an ePDG(enhanced Packet Data Gateway). The tunneling unit receives the ePDG address information of tunneling target ePDG from the ePDG. The tunneling unit transmits a second indirect data forwarding tunnel generation request including the ePDG address information to a serving gateway. The tunneling unit receives the serving gateway address information from the serving gateway.
