PURPOSE: A tower monitoring system for a wind power generator, a system, a method thereof are provided to monitor the entire tower state including joints of sections and tower surfaces. CONSTITUTION: A tower monitoring system for a wind power generator comprises a wind sensor unit(130), a first equipment sensor unit(140), a second equipment sensor unit(150), and a control unit(200). The wind sensor unit is installed in a rotary structure including a plurality of blades, thereby measuring wind data. The first equipment sensor unit is installed on the top of the tower for supporting the rotary structure, thereby measuring displacement data. The second equipment sensor unit is installed in the lower part of the tower, thereby measuring the lower displacement data. The control device compares the upper displacement data with an upper allowable range and the lower displacement data, thereby determining an abnormal state of the tower.
