PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for processing rigid plastics are provided to improve rigidity because the grain of mechanical elements with a head such as studs, bolts, and others is refined by ECAP(Equal Channel Angular Pressing). CONSTITUTION: A method for processing rigid plastics is as follows. A steel material(10) with a lubricating thin layer(80) is sheared by a primary ECAP unit(200) to process a primary preexisting article(S200). The primary preexisting article is sheared by a secondary ECAP unit(300) to process a secondary preexisting article(S300). The secondary preexisting article is extruded by an extruding unit(400) to process a third preexisting article with a head(S400). The third preexisting article is upset by an up-setting unit(500) to process a fourth preexisting article with the head(S500). The fourth preexisting article is primarily headed by a primary heading unit(600) to process a mechanical element with the head(S600).
