Subsequent correlation processing of said signals enables measurement of the time of arrival of the OQPSK signal. The technical result of the invention is also eliminating measurement error caused by non-multiplicity of duration of the signal symbol and sampling frequency of analogue-to-digital conversion of the received signal, which is achieved by using interpolation and decimation when filtering the signal. Furthermore, the technical result of the invention is eliminating truncation error due to that the vicinity of the principal maximum of the discrete cross-correlation function (DCCF) of the signal has the shape of a parabola and due to an optimum analytical method of estimating parameters of the parabola and determining the argument of the maximum.EFFECT: high computational efficiency by eliminating receiving frequency uncertainty, which eliminates the need for two-dimensional search of arguments of the maximum of a two-dimensional DCCF for the OQPSK signal, thus avoiding the search for the argument of the maximum of a one-dimensional DCCF.5 cl, 3 dwg
