PURPOSE: A system for preparing a large amount of anthocyanin is provided to easily obtain natural pigments and to develop a health functional food industry, a cosmetic industry, a medical product industry, and a dye industry. CONSTITUTION: IbMYB1a gene has a base sequence in sequence number 1. A method for preparing a transgenic alfalfa plant with enhanced anthocyanin content comprises: a step of transforming an alfalfa plant cell with a recombinant vector containing Ipomoea batatas-derived IbMYB1a gene; and a step of redifferentiating an alfalfa plant from the transformed plant cells. A feed composition contains the transgenic alfalfa plant. A composition for enhancing anthocyanin in the alfalfa plant contains Ipomoea batatas-derived IbMYB1a gene.
