PURPOSE: A taxi information providing method using a smart phone is provided to enable a user to utilize taxi use information of various countries by using the smart phone before using a taxi. CONSTITUTION: A taxi information providing application of a smart phone outputs a menu screen(S1). The taxi information providing application outputs a taxi meter screen corresponding to touch of a taxi meter button(S2). A user selects a city(S3). The user presses a start button after selecting an extra charge time and a luxury taxi(S4-S8). The application outputs a driving distance and a driving time on the taxi meter screen in real time(S10). The application outputs the final fare and fare information corresponding to touching of an arrival button(S11).
