PURPOSE: A lift type fryer, a cooking device including a de-oiling device, and a control method thereof are provided to automatically ascend or descend a fryer basket from an oil tank after a predetermined cooking time passes and to prevent a cook from burning due to hot oil. CONSTITUTION: A cooking device(1100) comprises a user input unit(1130), an oil storage, a fryer basket(1174), a lifting motor(1171), a driving screw stand(1173), a fryer basket fixing unit(1124), a control unit(1180). The user input unit is input with a first time. The oil storage is filled with oil. The fried food is put in the fryer basket. The lifting motor rotates. A screw is formed on the driving screw stand and is rotated with driving of the lifting motor. The fryer basket fixing unit is connected to the fryer basket, supports the fryer basket, and includes a screw hole corresponding to the screw. The fryer basket fixing unit is connected to the driving screw stand through the screw hole. The control unit vertically transfers the fryer basket fixing unit according to the driving screw stand using the screw and the screw hole.
