<p>PURPOSE: A compressor is provided to allow a smooth gas flow between a lead valve and a valve base plate, thereby reducing a power loss and improving the durability. CONSTITUTION: A compressor comprises a valve base plate(27) and a suction lead valve(25a). The valve base plate is arranged between a suction chamber(5a) and a compressive chamber(24). The valve base plate includes a suction port(23a) allowing the communication between the suction and compressive chambers. The valve base plate includes a fixed surface in a side toward the compressive chamber. The suction lead valve selectively opens/closes the suction port. The suction lead valve is elastically transformed and has an elongated shape with a distal tip. The suction lead valve includes a fixing unit, a base unit, and a valve unit.
