ADAPTIVE EQUALIZER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An adaptive equalizer and a control method thereof are provided to compensate channel loss with an effective method while using low power. CONSTITUTION: A high frequency gain filter(50) includes a reference voltage comparison unit(130), a pulse generation unit(150) and a charge pump unit(170). The reference voltage comparison unit compares output voltage of the high frequency gain filter with the reference voltage. The pulse generation unit generates a pulse signal if the output voltage of the high frequency gain filter exceeds the reference voltage as a result of the comparison. The charge pump unit generates gain control voltage by pumping charge corresponding to the pulse signal. The high frequency gain filter controls the high frequency voltage gain of the input signal using the gain control voltage.
