PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling the thickness of molten mold flux are provided to maintain the optimal thickness of the molten mold flux until a continuous casting process is completed by controlling the tilting angle or input amount of raw materials according to deviation between the optimal thickness and a measured thickness of the molten mold flux. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling the thickness of molten mold flux is as follows. An input amount of the molten mold flux corresponding to casting width is inputted in a mold. The input amount of the molten metal flux is controlled by comparing the preset optimal thickness and the measured thickness of the molten mold flux injected in the mold.
