The device (1) has a portion (12) located at a base of a mounting rail (2) i.e. picatinnyrail, when the device is locked. A locking mechanism (20) locks the device to the rail. Another portion (14) is attached to the former portion so as to be offset to a side of the rail when the device is locked. The latter portion is inclined relative to the former portion towards a shooting axis (A) of a firearm. The latter portion comprises a clevis pin (16) that is surmounted by a locking head (18) such that an assembly formed by the pin and the head exhibits a T-shaped cross section. The hanging device is made of metal. |
