The device (D) has a protective wall (CP) including a fixed part (PC1) comprising a rear face with an immobilization unit (MI1) that is arranged to take part in immobilization of a retractable seat (S1) relative to the face when the seat is in its retracted position. A moving part (PC2) is rotatably mounted in parallel to an interior side of the fixed part, and extends the fixed part in a direction of a lateral side (C1) when the seat is in its receiving position or in a direction of another lateral side (C2) by partially surrounding the seat when it is immobilized relative to the face. The fixed part is attached fixedly with a structure of a vehicle (V) behind a non-retractable seat (S2). The immobilization unit is selected from a group including a hook, a rod, a clipping unit and a tightening bond.
