PURPOSE: A wide angle lens and a photographing apparatus including the same are provided to be possible of low cost, miniaturization and the reduction in weight and show an excellent optical performance by a fair amendment of aberration. CONSTITUTION: A wide angle includes a first lens(L1) having negative refractive power, a second lens(L2) having positive refractive power, a third lens(L3) having positive refractive power, a fourth lens(L4) having positive refractive from an object side in an order. Those lenses have an aspherical side. The wide angle lens satisfies following conditional expression: 1.7 < ¦f1/f¦ < 2.3; f1 is a focal distance of the first lens and f is a total focal distance.
