The device (10) has a connection portion (16) extending longitudinally between two fixing legs (12, 14), where the device is made of metal. Two folding parts (22) of the connection portion extend along transverse axes to form a profile. The device is designed in such a way that the connecting portion is plastically deformed at the folding parts leading to displacement of one of the fixing legs relative to other fixing leg in response to performance of predetermined mechanical force to separate the fixing legs from each another when the device is installed on the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a fixing device and plastic wing assembly.
