PURPOSE: A standby power interruption device is provided to supply only minimal current, which maintains a sleeping state, to a load device in a power interruption state, thereby minimizing the loss of standby power. CONSTITUTION: When a current sensing device(230) senses current which is less than a setting value, a gate control unit(250) of a standby power interruption unit(200) outputs a switch-off command to a switch driving unit(220) and outputs a gate signal to a semiconductor switching device(240) at the same time. When the current sensing device senses current which exceeds the setting value, the gate control unit outputs a switch-on command to the switch driving unit and interrupts gate signal output of the semiconductor switching device at the same time.
