Novelty: it is disclosed a system meant for the production of lightweight concrete by use of polystyrene granules hitherto directly and manually supplied to a barrel; a pneumatic and volumetric polystyrene transport system creating a new way for producing lightweight concrete under safe and volumetric accuracy conditions. Constitution: a polystyrene storage space (funnel or silo) 1, a sealing latch 2 for the polystyrene flow interruption, a volumetric supplier 3, a low-pressure fan 4, a transport network 5, a folding bellow 6, and an electronic management software programme 7. Transport mode: the polysterene is transported, upon command, from the barrel to the volumetric pneumatic supplier 3 containing the propeller (9,10) composed of perforated blades; from the volumetric supplier the polystyrene is attracted under subpressure applied at the entry of the volumetric supplier to the propeller in order to completely fill up the volume of this last; in the sequel, the polystyrene is conducted -with the assistance of the fan 4 and the transport network 5- to the concrete barrel 15. The whole system is managed via the electronic board 7 through use of an adequate software programme. |
